Rosa was born in Vancouver, BC, in 1962, where she still resides. She studied graphics at Langara - Art in Merchandising program, but became interested in scenic work for theatre, then later in film. This allowed her the opportunity to experiment with acrylic paint, and other mediums. Her paintings typically start in acrylic, then finish in oils which give them that luminosity.
Her subject has always been realism, portraiture, that she loves to incorporate into different realms, such as forests and other abstractions. Her inspirations are Daniel Sprick, Alex Kanevsky, and Allyssa Monks, to name a few.
